Tyrone Bryant Branch Library

OUR STORY

The Friends of the Tyrone Bryant Branch Library is a group of special and talented volunteers with a vision to make a positive change in the community. The group sponsors book fairs, the Florida Library Youth Program of Summer-long activities for children and staff and volunteer recognition events.

WHAT WE DO

The Friends of the Tyrone Bryant Branch Library work in harmony with each other in order to increase membership in the group. The Friends support many other programs for adults and children. These programs include but are not limited to poetry events, children author story times, staff appreciation, volunteer recognition, leadership programs, Black History Month programs, assistance with Tyrone Bryant Branch Library statistical sampling and the adult reading summer program. The members of the group raise funds for unbudgeted items such as craft supplies, prizes and special programs. The group was recognized recently with an award for “Support of Programming Efforts to Promote Love of Literature” at the “Hats Off to Friends” luncheon.
